Gerhard Wingender
Founder & CSO
Dr. Wingender is an internationally recognized immunologist with over 20 years of experience on innate-like T cells in the context of cancer, autoimmune, and lung diseases. He is an expert on advanced functional in vitro cell assays and in vivo mouse models. Dr. Wingender is an MSCA and EMBO fellow, a Research Group Leader at the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG) (Izmir, Turkey), and the project coordinator for several national and international grants (including Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe). His work at Meriel Biosciences allows him to translate his research findings into novel diagnostics and therapies.
